Top 10 Tips for You
And Your Dog.
1.Your dog is doing their best with the education they have received in the environment you have put them in.

2. Never punish a dog for growling; they are giving you important information. Listen and act on it.

3.Only allow your puppy to do things that will be appropriate when they are full-grown. A
Golden Retriever puppy jumping up may be cute, but not when they are a 40kg dog.
4.Get the whole family involved if you can. A consistent approach is key.
5.If you and your dog are stressed during more than 50% of your walks, take a break
from walks and play training games instead.
6.Give your dog the best quality food you can afford. It will save you on vet bills in the long run.
7.Be clear with your dog. Work out what your criteria are so that the dog is more likely to succeed.
8.Remember some behaviours are easiest to capture as they occur naturally. Look out for natural play bows and head-lows, then mark and reward them.
9.Teach the 'break' cue early. This saves you from saying "stay, stay..."Just "bed" will ultimately be enough.
10.Always think about what you WANT your dog to do, rather than what you don't want them to do. For example, instead of discouraging them from jumping up at visitors, teach them to
sit to greet people.
Enjoy your dog every day...their lives are way too short!
